Deloris "Toots" Rogers, 91, New Rockford, formerly of Norwalk, Calif., passed away Dec. 9 at the Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd, New Rockford. Funeral service was, Dec. 12. Burial will be at Rose Hill Memorial Park, Whittier, Calif. Pastor Debra Lommen officiated and music was provided by Mary Ellen Rue and Dianne Allmaras.
Deloris was born Oct. 11, 1927 at Regan, North Dakota, the daughter of Gottlieb and Josephine (Davis) Dockter. The family later moved to Munster, N.D. where she grew up and attended school. Toots later worked at several different places in New Rockford. She married Eulis "Bunk" Rogers on Dec. 1, 1962 in Las Vegas, Nev. They made their home in Norwalk, Calif. She worked at Carl's Jr. for several years and later did babysitting for area families. In 1998 they moved to New Rockford, where she lived since.
Deloris is survived by her husband; her children, Robert (Jan) Bonadiman, Fontana, Calif, Sheryle (Chuck) Justice, Whittier, Calif, and Rose (Ira) Black-Cohen, Redondo Beach, Calif; siblings, James (Eileen) Dockter, New Rockford, Marjorie Bohnet, New Rockford, Janet Banning, Williston, Helen Duda, New Rockford, and Shirley Pederson, Williston; 14 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four children, Carolyn, Barbara, Diane, and Linda; two great-grandchildren; siblings, Doris Wade, Ruby Eisele, Erma Christianson, Jennie "Dolly" Kaul, Vernon Dockter, Harold Dockter, Agnes Nokleby and infant brother Albert Dockter.
