Tom, Pam and Jakob Schmid attended the Nurses Pinning Program for Mandy Hermanson at Moorhead State on Dec. 21.

Last Sunday, Joe, Braden, Doug and Parker Schmid celebrated Christmas at Tom and Pam’s home.

Dave and Linda Madson visited Lester Roberts Thursday afternoon. Saturday, Wayne and Karen Lindenberg and Roger Roberts visited Lester. Chad Getscher was a Saturday evening visitor at Lester’s. Lester visited James Nelson on Sunday.

Christmas day, Betty Rushfeldt entertained Sharon Rance, Everett and Gloria Rance, Wayne and Donna Rance and their children, Breonna, Colby and Braxton and Crystal Rance of Minneapolis. They enjoyed dinner, singing, games and visiting. Betty was a house guest at Sharon’s for a few days.

On Dec. 30, James Nelson appreciated a phone call from Jim Thompson of Colorado. Jarvis Hegland visited James on New Year’s Day. Lester Roberts visited James on Sunday afternoon.

Randy and Charlotte Simon were among those who celebrated New Year’s Eve at Harriman’s in Maddock with supper, dance and fireworks. New Year’s Day, the Simon’s were guests of Terry and Melodee Thompson at the Elks in Devils Lake.

Charlotte visited Doris Ambers at the Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd in New Rockford on Wednesday. Thursday evening, Randy and Charlotte attended the basketball game between Warwick and the Benson County Wildcats in Maddock. Maddock won the game. Friday night, Randy and Charlotte went to the Ramsey County basketball tournament to watch the game between Benson County Wildcats and Larimore. Sunday, Charlotte, Amy and Jaxon attended the Epiphany Christmas Program at St. Williams. Jaxon played the role of King Herod. Dinner was served following the service.

Easton Simon took part in the Elks Free Throw Hoop Shoot in Devils Lake on Sunday. He took first place in the 10-11 age group. He shot 20 out of 25. Congratulations, Easton.

New Year’s Eve, Dave and Linda Madson were supper guests at Melodie, Kennedee and McKenzee Madson’s home. Kennedee and McKenzee spent Monday and Wednesday with Grandpa and Grandma Madson. Grandma took them sledding at KDLR Wednesday afternoon. They had a great time with all the other kids who were also there. It was back to school on Thursday. Saturday afternoon, Dave and Linda, Carrie Madson, Lezlee Thorson, Amy Jacobson, Melodie and McKenzee watched Kennedee compete in the Skills Performance in ice skating at the Burdick Arena. She got first place. Good job, Kennedee. There were skating clubs from Park River, Langdon, Bottineau and Devils Lake.

Jarvis and Patty Hegland joined their children and grandchildren at the Mike and Jill Zietz home in Horace last Saturday for a Christmas celebration. After sharing supper and gifts, the group went to a Fargo Force hockey game. Tuesday to Thursday, Patty was once again a guest at the Zietz home. This time the agenda included appointments, shopping and more grandchildren time. Sunday, Jarvis and Patty and Jake, Amanda, Fallyn and Piper Hegland enjoyed a meal together at a Devils Lake restaurant. The occasion was Jake’s belated birthday celebration.
