David and Diane Karlsbraaten were in Fargo last week where they helped Sara Hanson with the three children while her husband Keith was in San Diego for work.

Sara and Diane accompanied Landon to the District Battle of the Books competition. Landon was on one of two teams from Freedom Elementary School that competed against other elementary school teams from West Fargo. Although they didn't place first or second, they did a great job. David was busy delivering Alice to cheer and watching Gavin for the evening. During the week, they also visited with Tracy, Jason, Henry and Charlie Bedsaul.

Saturday, Jan Loe met Carol Nerlien and Ilys Peterson for lunch in Devils Lake. Later, Jan joined Barb Eversvik for coffee.

On Monday, Bonnie Deegan, Rhoda Stenberg and Jan Loe enjoyed lunch and shopping in New Rockford.

The Sheyenne Senior Center is open every Tuesday and Friday afternoon for visiting, games, and of course, coffee and goodies. The second Tuesday each month is Soup and Bible Study starting at 11:30 a.m. The last Tuesday of the month, a special birthday cake is served to celebrate the birthdays of members that month. Also, there are still some paperback books free for the taking in the lending library at the center.
