The Dakota Prairie Regional Center for the Arts presents "Gilligan's Island: The Musical," at the Old Church Theatre.
Based on the ever popular and iconic 60s television comedy, the stage show is an entertaining and wacky story of the beloved characters and an adventure that includes 18 original and memorable songs.
Shipwrecked on a remote island in the Pacific, the seven castaways build huts and begin to explore their surroundings. They discover strange hieroglyphics in a spooky cave, which speak of an ancient legend. The weather gets rough, Gilligan foils the best-laid of the castaway's rescue plans, romance develops, the castaways have an out-of-this-world encounter, and more.
The show premiers Friday, March 22 and will run weekends through April 14.
Show times will be Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., and Sundays at 2:30 p.m. (Note Saturday, April 6 will be a 2:30 show).
Tickets range in price:
• $10 for kids 10 years old and under
• $15 for students 11 years old and up
• $25 for adults
