Last Sunday to this past Saturday, Patty Hegland was at the Mike and Jill Zietz home in Horace to get acquainted with the newest member of the family, Logan Michael. She says. “He is delightful.” Congratulations to the Zietz family.

Wednesday, Charlotte Simon helped make pies for “Pie Day” at the coffee house at Harriman’s. The pies were served on Thursday and were enjoyed by all who attended.

Randy and Charlotte helped Mark Kallenbach celebrate at his surprise birthday party on Saturday.

Last Sunday, Carrie Madson spent the night with Kennedee and McKenzee Madson while Grandma Melodie was in Grand Forks for job training. Melodie returned home Monday evening. Kennedee and McKenzee spent Friday with Dave and Linda Madson as there was no school due to all the snow. Saturday evening, Dave and Linda enjoyed the ice skating show at the Burdick Arena in Devils Lake. Linda, Kinley Poulsen and Joni Duckworth of Larimore attended the final performance on Sunday afternoon. The show was very entertaining. The skaters performed to theme songs from TV shows like “Golden Girls,” “Flintstones,” “Sesame Street,” “M*A*S*H*,” and many more.

Following the show, Dave and Linda, Joni and Kinley were supper guests at Melodie’s home. Sunday evening, the Madson’s enjoyed a phone call from their son, Stacy, who is the manager of the feedlot at the Padlock Ranch in Dayton, Wyo. He said that they are currently feeding 13,600 head of cattle and have shipped out two loads. Everything is huge numbers at that ranch.

Enjoy the nice days that are promised this week.
