Area medical marijuana dispensaries selected

The North Dakota Department of Health Division of Medical Marijuana received final scores from the review panel that evaluated dispensary applications for the Devils Lake, Dickinson, Jamestown and Minot regions. Four entities have been selected to move forward with the registration process. GR Vending ND Dispensary 3, LLC will be located in Devils Lake; GR Vending ND Dispensary 5, LLC will be located in Dickinson; GR Vending ND Dispensary 6, LLC will be located in Jamestown; and GR Vending ND Dispensary 4, LLC will be located in Minot.

“With this current selection, we now have seven dispensaries selected and eligible for registration and one dispensary registered and open for business under the Medical Marijuana Program,” stated Jason Wahl, director of the Division of Medical Marijuana. “We anticipate that all dispensaries will be registered and operational by the end of this year.”

According to state law, all entities selected to move forward must meet additional requirements before being issued a registration certificate from the NDDoH. “All recently selected entities are located in cities that require a special or conditional use permit,” stated Wahl. “As we have in the past, we will continue to monitor the progress of these entities to ensure they are open as quickly as possible.”

The Division of Medical Marijuana is accepting qualifying patient and designated caregiver applications. Instructions, video tutorials, and the link to access the online application can be found at http://www.ndhealth.gov/MM/. Over 250 registry identification cards have been issued to qualifying patients.
