The region's most academically inclined students in grades 4-6 gathered at Harvey Elementary School to compete at the Harvey Elementary Academic Challenge Meet on Thursday, April 10.
Twelve students from each of several area schools including Maddock, Harvey, Fessenden-Bowdon, Velva and New Rockford-Sheyenne answered questions related to math, English, current events and history.
The NR-S 'Gold' team – comprised of Christopher Wiedrich, Skye Kramlich, Logan Cudworth, Ava Peterson, Jackson Brazil and Andrew Storstad – took home the third place trophy.
Each participant received a certificate of participation and medal.
