Three qualify for state at Region V speech competition

The three-member New Rockford-Sheyenne speech team competed at the Region V Speech Meet in Thompson on Saturday, April 13.

All three students placed and are headed to the state competition at Mandan High School on Saturday, April 27. Junior Jaden Gray placed first in both dramatic and poetry. Senior Sandra Larson earned second place in radio, and Larson's classmate Cassidy Holth gave a third place performance in dramatic. The serious duo delivered by Larson and Holth was given the first place honor in that category.

The team is coached by Karla Fuchs. Congratulations to all and best of luck at state.
