Obituary: Inez Brown

Inez A. Brown, 85, of Carrington, N.D., passed away April 13, 2019, at Golden Acres Manor in Carrington.

Inez was born Feb. 7, 1934, in Carrington to John and Ruth (Schlotman) Nysted. She attended grade school in a rural school in Haven Township and graduated from Carrington High School in 1953.

Inez worked at the S & S Coffee Shop. Later working for Mrs. Voglewede at their home until she married Evan Brown on April 4, 1954. She was a member of the Everglad Homemakers.

Inez is survived by her children; Merrilyn Dahl, Twila (Curt) Klein, Janel Rice, all of Carrington, Mark (Jen) Brown of Burlington, Iowa, and Michael (Julie) Brown of Carrington; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Phyllis Gussiaas of Carrington, Elsie Polutnik of Missoula, Mont; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jean Larsen of Owtonna, Minn., George (Dotty) Brown of Devils Lake, N.D., Alice Neumiller of Jamestown, N.D., Gerald Brown of Bowdon, N.D., Lynda Brown of Eagen, Minn. and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband; son Dale; parents; and sister, Carol Sutherland.
