Youth to showcase artistic talents

The talented students of New Rockford-Sheyenne School are preparing for their final artistic performances of the school year. Take note of the following events below and plan to attend, as all are free and open to the public.

Music and Speech State Qualifier Showcase Recital: Monday, April 29 at 7 p.m. at the Old Church Theatre in New Rockford. Students will perform all state-qualifying musical numbers and speech events. A short reception will follow the recital.

Elementary Spring Showcase: Thursday, May 2. The students are excited to introduce a new format to highlight their progress in music, art and physical education. The evening will begin with an open house Art Exhibition and Physical Education Film beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the Art room. Scheduled musical performances will be held in the gym starting with the first grade at 6 p.m. Each grade will perform for 15 minutes, followed by the elementary band and choir at 7:30.

Pre-K & Kindergarten Spring Program: Friday, May 10 at 2 p.m. in the gymnasium.

Junior High & High School Spring Concert: Tuesday, May 14 at 7 p.m. in the gymnasium. Choir, band, jazz band, pop choir and Madrigal singers are all scheduled to perform.
