NRABC hires Carlson for summer internship

The New Rockford Area Betterment Corporation welcomes Natalie Carlson as the Summer Program Intern. She will focus on social media, website presence and marketing, as well as promoting tourism and community engagement.

Carlson is a New Rockford native and a 2015 graduate of NR-S School. She recently graduated from North Dakota State University (NDSU) with a degree in Family and Consumer Sciences. She and her husband Bret have returned home for the summer while Bret completes pharmacy rotations in the Fort Totten and Carrington area.

As a small business owner and student success coach at NDSU, Natalie brings experience in both marketing and social media. She says, "with my experience starting and owning my own online business, I am excited to use and experiment with marketing techniques... I am looking forward to promoting community engagement. I have experience facilitating events and creating workshops within their Journey to Graduation Program as well as leading a small group within a Christian ministry, Chi Alpha." Carlson added, "I have a passion for connecting people. My goal is to put that passion to work and give back to the community."

NRABC Executive Director Amanda Hegland said, "I am very excited to have Natalie on board for the summer. We have many exciting projects and promotions that we would like to implement. Her creativity and go-getter attitude will be a great asset to our office."
