Summer rec season opens this week

Summer starts now! The New Rockford Park District has announced opening dates for the many summer activities.

Manager Dennis Nybo said Wednesday that the swimming pool will tentatively open Mon., June 3.

Practices for summer baseball and softball teams begin this week. Babe Ruth players will hold their first practice on Monday., May 27 at 4 p.m. at Legion Field.
