Elisa Buehler and Joe Wentz spent Memorial Day weekend at the Buehler farm. They also visited Beau, Bria and Brittin Buehler at their home during the weekend. Brittin visited the Buehler family Friday. Nadley Buehler attended the Maddock Public School graduation and numerous open house gatherings. Nadley went to an open house celebration for Sandra Larson, daughter of Peter and Patti Jo Larson, Sunday afternoon at the Larson farm. Beau, Bria and Brittin were visitors and supper guests at the Todd and Nadley Buehler farm Sunday evening.
Monday and Tuesday, Johnny Grann played in the Region 3 Baseball Tournament in Steele. John and Donna attended both days. Saturday, John and Donna attended the State Track meet in Bismarck to cheer on Johnny and members of the 4x400 relay team. Bobbi, Lacey and Brittany Grann participated in the NDRA rodeo in barrel racing in Dickinson on Saturday. Ben and Brittany went to Thompson on Sunday to celebrate Brittany’s cousin’s graduation.
Two weeks ago, Lester Roberts traveled to Medora to take in the music festival with different groups playing in different parts of town as well as a bar-b-que competition. He was disappointed to wake up to his car and everything covered in snow. Since the concerts were to be held outdoors, they were called off. He came home and wasn’t happy about this disappointing event. Lester joined his sisters, brother Roger and daughter, Lezlee Thorson for a get-together in Rugby on Friday. Sunday, Lester visited Les and Janice Ferry and also James Nelson.
Howard and Helen Schmid have returned to their Oberon home for the summer. They got back to North Dakota in time for grandson, Jakob Schmid’s graduation from NDSU. They spent a few days in Fargo before returning to Oberon. Welcome back.
Last Sunday, Linda Madson accompanied Melodie and Kennedee Madson to Jamestown where they were overnight guests at Shawn and Cathy Caulfield’ s home. Monday, Kennedee kept an appointment with the orthodontist. It was a special event as she got her braces removed. Kennedee and Melodie brought a cake and a begonia plant as a thank you to her orthodontist. The rest of the day involved some lunch and shopping. The Madson’s returned home Monday evening. Tuesday, Dave and Linda honored relatives with flowers on their graves in Cooperstown, Walum, Eidfjord Lutheran Church, rural Walum and Wimbledon with a stop for lunch at the bowling alley in Hannaford. Saturday afternoon, Linda and Carrie Madson put flags on the graves of Veterans and American Legion and Legion Auxiliary members at the Hillside Cemetery in Oberon. Saturday evening, Dave, Linda, Melodie, McKenzee, Syl Brown and Tommy Schwab were treated to a supper on the grill at the home of Michael and Amy Jacobson. Michael was the host and chef as Amy was visiting relatives in Mayville. Dave and Linda attended services at Calvary church in Oberon and following services, were served a delicious lunch at Carrie and Paul’s at the Madson farm.
