Neal Swenson visited Todd Buehler on Tuesday morning. Wednesday evening, Brittin Buehler stayed with grandpa and grandma Buehler while her parents went out for supper. Grace Ihry visited Hunter Buehler and family over the weekend at the Buehler farm. Bria and Brittin visited Todd and Nadley Saturday evening.

Friday afternoon and evening, Barb and Doug Steinmetz were guests of Randy and Charlotte Simon. That evening, Lori and Rod Maddock, Randy and Charlotte, Barb and Doug and Lee Simon enjoyed supper at Harrimans in Maddock. Barb attended the graveside service for Dianne Maupin at the Hillside Cemetery at Oberon followed by lunch at Calvary Lutheran Church Saturday morning. Our sympathy to Dianne’s family.

Charlotte’s family held their annual family picnic at the Rugby Fairgrounds Pavilion on Saturday. Joan Bosch’s children, grandchildren and great grandchildren attended. Mark, Tessa, Mason and Miles Simon were overnight guests at Randy and Charlotte’s home following the family picnic.

Marlene and Karen Hendrickson arrived back in North Dakota after spending the winter at their home in Dumas, Ark.

Jakob Schmid and Alison Widmer were home from Bismarck for the weekend. The Schmid’s took in graduation open house celebrations last weekend at the homes of Brady Kallenbach and Charity Dosch in Maddock and Sandra Larson and Elizabeth Widmer who graduated from New Rockford-Sheyenne High School. Pam Schmid visited her dad, Bud Hermanson in Hampden on Monday. Tom and Pam attended the graveside service for Dianne (Goranson) Maupin in Oberon on Saturday morning. Howard and Helen Schmid attended the funeral for Norris Rud at Grandfield Lutheran Church, rural Sheyenne on Thursday. Our sympathy to the Rud family. Howard and Helen attended the service for Dianne Maupin on Saturday morning. Saturday afternoon, the Schmid’s went to Erna Ellingson’s birthday celebration at Harrimans in Maddock.

Monday, Bobbi and Lacey Grann took Johnny Grann to enter in the High School Rodeo in Dickinson. Lacey instructed a goat tying workshop in Granville on Saturday. Johnny entered his last two regular season high school rodeos in Bismarck and New Salem Saturday and Sunday. John, Donna, Lacey and Bobbi all went to watch his performance. Bruce Engelhardt of Mandan (formerly of Minnewaukan) was also there to watch and take action pictures.

Dave and Linda Madson visited Carrie Madson and Paul Prince on Thursday afternoon. Friday morning, Linda, Melodie and Kennedee Madson attended the awards presentation for the basketball camp that McKenzee Madson participated in this past week. McKenzee received two red ribbons and two championship trophies. Good job, McKenzee. Linda, along with several Calvary Church ladies served lunch to the family of Dianne Maupin following the graveside service Saturday. Dave, Linda, Melodie, Kennedee, McKenzee and Tommy Schwab enjoyed s’mores around the fire at the home of Michael and Amy Jacobson in Devils Lake Saturday night.
