Writers invited to workshop

Are you a beginning, intermediate or seasoned writer? No matter your skill level, you are invited to join philosophy professor, writer and adventurer Tayo Basquiat for his two-hour workshop titled, “Inspirational Writing.”

Whether you're a beginner or a long-time writer working through a creative block, Basquiat’s workshop will help you to unlock your creative potential in a supportive environment. All are welcome on Wednesday, June 26 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Sarah Smith Warren Photography Studio at 826 Central Ave, New Rockford. The cost is $10 per person. This workshop is for all genres of writing and all writing styles, and is made available through Humanities North Dakota, Bismarck State College, New Rockford Area Betterment Corporation and Sarah Smith Warren Photography.

Tayo Basquiat teaches online courses at Bismarck State College and the University of Wyoming, where he received his Master of Fine Arts in creative writing. His work has appeared in Superstition Review, On Second Thought, Northern Plains Ethics Journal, the Cheat River Review, Proximity Magazine, and as the producer of Wyoming Public Media’s “Spoken Words” podcast.
