A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Nino Miller of Danville, Ill. He was initially stopped for speeding, then charged with driving under suspension on May 23. He failed to appear in court as ordered on June 5, prompting the warrant. This is his fourth offense in a five-year period, according to the criminal complaint. He was previously convicted in Foster County in 2018 and in Ward County in 2019. He also has an apparent conviction in Minnesota in 2018. According to the most recent judgment, his license is suspended through Oct. 3, 2025.
Other active warrants:
Crystal L. Robertson of St. Michael, who is accused of providing false information to law enforcement, also has an active warrant for her arrest. She failed to appear in court on June 20.
Richardo M. Littleghost of Devils Lake faces an unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia charge and did not appear on June 20.
Leslie R. Guy of Ft. Totten failed to appear on an order to show cause. Her case dates back to 2016, when she was convicted of possession of a controlled substance schedule V, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and carrying a concealed firearm or weapon. She has not paid fines and fees as ordered.
Kasiner Slover of New Rockford was also scheduled for an order to show cause hearing on June 20 and failed to appear. He was convicted of simple assault-domestic violence on Dec. 13, 2018.
Marcella Desjarlais of Sheyenne was sentenced for driving under suspension on Nov. 15, 2018. She has not paid fines and fees as agreed, and failed to appear for an order to show cause hearing.
Traci Helms of New Rockford failed to appear on an April drug offense. She pleaded not guilty to possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia on April 11 and May 9, then did not appear for the pre-trial conference set for June 20.

Katina Abell of New Rockford has been found in contempt of court. She was convicted of simple assault-domestic violence for assaulting her juvenile son in 2017. According to the criminal complaint, she struck her son in the face and head several times and attempted to strangle him. At the time of her conviction, she was given a suspended jail sentence, 360 days of unsupervised probation, assessed $535 in fines and fees, and ordered to complete an offender’s treatment program. In court on June 20 she was found in contempt and ordered to serve 2 days in jail as a remedial sanction. She may purge the contempt by paying $135 on or before July 20, 2019, completing Batterer's Treatment Program within four months (by October 20, 2019), and filing proof with the Court.
Jerry Fiebelkorn-Barrett of New Rockford was given a deferred sentenced in court on June 5 for drug-related offenses dating back to December 2018. He was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia (marijuana) and possession of drug paraphernalia (methamphetamines), all misdemeanors, after a search of his home. He first pleaded not guilty to the charges on January 10. After he amended his plea to guilty on June 5, Judge Hovey deferred a 30 day jail sentence for 360 days of unsupervised probation, and ordered Barrett to pay $750 in fines and fees.
Karissa D. Richotte of Dickinson faces a driving under suspension charge. The incident occurred on May 21 after she was stopped for failure to display current registration tabs. She pleaded not guilty to the charge on June 20, and she is due in court for a pre-trial conference on Aug. 8.
Julie A. Morin of St. Michael was arrested for possession of methamphetamine on May 23. She pleaded not guilty to the charge on June 20 and is due in court for a pre-trial conference on Aug. 8.
Raymond M. Buckles of Ft. Totten is accused of driving under revocation. He was arrested on May 23 after he was stopped for a broken tail lamp. He was also cited for driving without insurance. Buckles pleaded not guilty June 20 and is due for a pre-trial conference on Aug. 8.
On May 16, Benjamin L. Gange of Crary was stopped for speeding near 84th Avenue and Eddy County 1. He was then charged with driving under suspension, his third offense in five years. Gange was previously convicted in Ramsey County in both 2017 and 2018. The probation term from the latter sentence was scheduled to end Aug. 27, 2019, according to the criminal complaint. Gange is due in court on Aug 8. He has pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Fernando Delatorre Valenzela of Williston was sentenced in a 2017 driving under suspension case. Valenzela appeared in court on June 20 after he was arrested in Williams County on an outstanding warrant. The charge stemmed from a Sept. 6, 2017 incident in which he was stopped for speeding. Authorities then discovered his license was suspended and he could not provide proof of insurance. Valenzela was assessed $750 in fines and fees, which were paid from the posted bond. He is also subject to unsupervised probation for 360 days.
Brendon Hansen, 20, of New Rockford was sentenced for minor in consumption or possession. According to the criminal complaint, authorities approached him near Warsing Dam on May 26. He admitted to drinking at least one beer, and a chemical test recorded a blood alcohol content of 0.17. Hansen pleaded guilty to the charge in court on June 20, and he was ordered to complete 30 hours of community service and pay $375 in fines and fees. He is also subject to unsupervised probation for 360 days.
Dyllan Peltier of New Rockford was found in contempt for failure to pay fines and fees from a 2017 case. He was convicted of driving under suspension on Sept. 1, 2017. A contempt hearing was held June 20, and Peltier was ordered to serve 5 days in jail as a remedial sanction. The contempt may be purged by paying $50 per month, commencing July 3, 2019 until paid in full.
Daniel Knatterud of New Rockford was convicted of having actual physical control of a vehicle while under the influence. The incident occurred on March 13. In court on June 20 he pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 20 hours of community service and $1,025 in fines and fees.
Steven Nyland of Devils Lake reached a plea agreement with authorities after he was arrested for driving under the influence on April 13. In exchange for a guilty plea on June 20, Nyland’s charge was reduced to reckless driving. He was given a 10-day jail sentence, suspended for 360 days of unsupervised probation, and ordered to pay $550 in fines and fees.
Tommy Mann of Bismarck, formerly of Cathay, was sentenced to serve 9 months in the N.D. Department of Corrections after his probation was revoked on a 2014 conviction for corruption or solicitation of a minor. He was given credit for 22 days previously served and the $431 he owed in fines and fees was converted to a civil judgment.
Mann currently has an open case in Foster County, where he faces charges of criminal mischief, criminal trespass and refusing to halt stemming from a June 4 incident. He is due to make an initial appearance in that case on July 9. He has amassed quite a lengthy rap sheet in the past nine years, with several convictions in Wells, Eddy and Foster counties since 2010.
Vernon Lambert Jr. of Ft. Totten reached a plea agreement with authorities in a February case. Lambert was arrested on Feb. 14 for driving under the influence, possession of marijuana and violation of his work permit. In exchange for his guilty plea, he received a 30-day suspended jail sentence and was ordered to pay $785 in fines and fees.
