*N.D. Game and Fish Dept. Dist. game wardens: No east-central area lake or Devils Lake reports. Catfish spawn is on but fish are protecting their nests along bank edges and bite isn’t rapid. Be patient working areas for at least 20 to 30 minutes and mix up presentations of cut goldeye and suckers. No new Lake Sakakawea reports but look for improving walleye success on the east end. Lake Audubon remains fair for walleye.
*Devils Lake, Ed’s Bait Shop, Devils Lake: Continued walleye success around the Minnewaukan Flats with the bridges still producing white bass.
*Devils Lake, Lakeview Lodge, Minnewaukan: Lots of small walleye working structure or outside of weed beds using spinners and nightcrawlers or leeches, depending on the day. Also try slip bobbers. Not many white bass reports but along the bridges.
*Devils Lake, Woodland Resort, Devils Lake: Fair to good late-evening walleye bite using slip bobbers and bottom bouncers. Try leeches or nightcrawlers in 12-feet and shallower. Work deeper for larger walleye.
*Foster County area lakes, Dry Dock, Carrington: Some activity on area lakes but reports remain limited
*Jamestown Reservoir, Sooper Stop, Jamestown: Weather fronts creating slower and inconsistent success throughout area lakes.
*Lake Ashtabula, Ashtabula Crossing, Luverne: Some activity but limited reports.
*Lake Ashtabula, Bayshore, Valley City: Lake elevations generally at or slightly above normal pool. Water clarity remains good yet. Improving panfish success from shore with nice numbers of a mix of bluegill, crappie and bass. Mediocre pike and walleye success.
*Lake Sakakawea, Cenex Bait and Tackle, Garrison: Improving walleye success on the east end of Lake Sakakawea. Try a mix of presentations and depths. No Lake Audubon or Missouri River reports.
*Lake Sakakawea, Indian Hills Resort, Garrison: Improving walleye success along the north shore. Mix up presentations working 12 to 18 feet for 18- to 24-inch walleye.
*Lake Sakakawea/Lake Audubon/Missouri River, Scott’s Bait and Tackle, Pick City: Continued walleye, trout, and salmon success in the Missouri River chutes using 3-way swivels. Some catfish mixed in. Spillway channel inlet hit-and-miss for walleye depending on water time of day. Try Lindy rigs with nightcrawlers. Mixed walleye success on the east end of Lake Sakakawea depending on weather fronts. Try casting jigs up into shallow, warm water or work deeper in 22 feet with slow death hooks or Lindy rigs and nightcrawlers.
*Lonetree WMA area lakes, Harvey: No new reports.
*Pipestem Reservoir, Sooper Stop, Jamestown: Not much activity.
*Spiritwood Lake, Sooper Stop, Jamestown: Success slowed with weather fronts.
