Yard of the Week: Aug 5, 2019

Harry and Mary Pieterick have a yard that is both attractive and popular. The New Rockford Area Betterment Corporation received several nominations naming Harry and Mary the winners the Yard of the Week contest.

The first nomination came from several neighborhood sources. The Fandrich/McDonald families, the Yri Family, and Eddie Zucker and Annie said, "Harry and Mary put a lot of time in their yard. Harry is always busy perfecting the grass and Mary is always busy making it beautiful with array of colorful flowers. you often see them teaming up to make the hedge just how they want it. They are always willing to answer any questions you have about your flowers or grass and lend a helping hand when in need. Beautiful yard! Awesome neighbors!"

The other nomination was anonymously submitted and said simply, "Stunning yard!!"

Yard of the Week nomination forms are available at City Hall, Miller's Fresh Foods and Bakers Dozen. One yard will receive Chamber bucks and recognition in the newspaper and on social media.
