Planning underway for Community Social & Street Market

The New Rockford Chamber of Commerce and New Rockford Area Betterment Corporation are teaming up to host a Community Social and Street Market on Friday, Sept. 13.

This will be the third year the Chamber has hosted the Community Social. Local businesses are encouraged to participate in the event, which is designed to highlight New Rockford’s varied product and service offerings. Businesses can choose to offer specials throughout the day, during the street market from 4-7 p.m., or on a schedule that suits them best.

Artisans, producers and home-based businesses will be offered space in Centennial Park or along Eighth Street to display and sell their products at the street market.

Plans are underway for children’s activities as well. A full list of happenings will be advertised in the Transcript and promoted regionally to encourage visitors.
