Obituary: Gerrie Kliem

Gerrie Lynn Kliem, 49, passed away peacefully on Friday, Aug. 16, 2019 at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, N.D. The funeral service was held Monday, Aug. 19, 2019 at Evans Funeral Home, Carrington. Burial was at the Carrington Cemetery. Rev. Russ Christiansen officiated with special music provided by Brenda Bachmeier, Karla Berglund, Ann Wobbema and Janelle Koepplin. Casket bearers were Hunter Odenbach, Chase Odenbach, Cole Hendrickson, Derrek Leapaldt, Jason Skadberg and Jeremy Kliem. Honorary bearers were her 4th Corporation family.

Gerrie was born on June 17, 1970, in Carrington to Roy and Bonnie (Delger) Kliem. She attended Carrington Elementary and then went on to Junior High and High School in New Rockford, N.D. Gerrie became part of the 4th Corporation and it has been her home for the last 28 years.

Gerrie had worked for the Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd for 10 years, as well as working other various jobs in the New Rockford area.

Gerrie is survived by 12 siblings and two half-brothers; Larry (Sheila) Larsen, Bowdon, N.D., Dean (Mavis) Larsen, Carrington; Duane (Michelle) Kliem, Carrington, Gwen Carr, West Fargo, N.D., Ginger (Paul) Skadberg, Carrington, Dale (Janel) Kliem, Mandan, N.D., Doran Kliem, Carrington, Georgia (Jay) Hendrickson, Carrington, Glenda (Dan) Adams, Fargo, Gail Kliem, Carrington, Gay (Bryan) Leapaldt, Leeds, N.D., Devin (Penny) Kliem, Medina, N.D., several nieces and nephews and a very special friend, Tim Schmid.

Gerrie is preceded in death by her parents, one brother Doug, her grandparents, and one niece.
