ENT practictioner Dr. Frisk to retire, Carrington Health Center to host open house

Dr. James Frisk, a longtime ear, nose and throat specialist at CHI St. Alexius Health Carrington, is retiring.

While his practice (Plains Ear, Nose, Throat and Facial Plastic Surgery) is located in Fargo, Dr. Frisk regularly saw area patients through an outreach agreement with CHI St Alexius Health Carrington.

Dr. Frisk particularly liked to work with children and was known for extending great care to his patients and their families. He specialized in hearing loss and rehabilitation, diagnosis and therapy of sinus disease, nasal disorders and sleep medicine. He frequently performed common surgeries such as tonsillectomies, adenoidectomies, and ear tube placements.

He received his undergraduate degree in biology from Minnesota State University Moorhead, medical degree from the University of North Dakota and medical doctorate from Ohio State University in 1969. Dr. Frisk completed his residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin.

During his retirement, Dr. Frisk will be spending more time riding his Harley, restoring automobiles, skiing, fly-fishing and spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.

CHI St. Alexius Health Carrington will be hosting a retirement party and open house for Dr. Frisk on Wednesday, Sept. 18 from 2 -3 p.m. in the Carrington Medical Center West Conference Room.
