Tom and Pam Schmid visited Pam’s Dad, Bud Hermanson in Hampden on Saturday.

Roger Roberts visited Lester Roberts on Saturday. Lester visited James Nelson and Midge Quam Sunday evening. Chad Getscher was also a Sunday visitor.

Doris Griffin reported that the Maddock carving group will start meeting again every first and third Monday from 3 - 5 p.m. every month at the Memorial Home in Maddock beginning with this Monday, Oct. 21. Everyone is welcome whether they are experienced or beginning carvers or just want to observe and visit.

Tuesday, the John Grann family, John and Connie Soderholm and the Derek Johnson family traveled to Cavalier for the Tornadoes vs NR-S Rockets football game. In overtime of a very wet, cold, muddy football game, the Tornadoes won by 2. Ben and Brittany Grann hauled their horses to Stanley and visited friends and rode horse Friday and Saturday. John and Lacey Grann were in Minot on Saturday to cheer on the NR-S Rockets football team vs the Dunseith Dragons. The game was originally scheduled to be played in New Rockford, but field conditions were unfit. Donna and Bobbi Grann competed in barrel races over the weekend in Verndale, Minn.

Friday morning, Linda Madson took great granddaughters, Kennedee and McKenzee to get their flu shot and then to lunch. They spent the afternoon with Grandpa and Grandma Madson as there was no school. Friday evening, Dave and Linda traveled to Jamestown and spent the weekend with daughter Cathy and Shawn Caulfield. Cathy had some same-day surgery Friday morning and needed a little extra TLC from Mom and Dad. The Madsons returned home Sunday afternoon.

Nadley Buehler had lunch with Sherry Boehmer in Devils Lake on Thursday. Breana Buehler and Michael Pacheco and Mavis spent the weekend at the Buehler farm. Breana and Nadley attended the Karl Kenner and Sierra Doombas wedding in Maddock on Saturday. Todd Buehler and Michael Pacheco traveled to Maddock Saturday evening for the Kenner-Doombas wedding dance. Hunter Buehler spent the weekend in Hope visiting Grace Ihry and family.
