Green Screen Magic at Public Library
While out and about this Halloween evening, be sure to stop by the Eddy-New Rockford Library for a spooktacular treat.
The library will be offering green screen photos from 5-7 p.m. and everyone is welcome- from ghosts and ghouls to superheroes and fairy princesses.
"We're offering something really fun and innovative for all the trick or treaters out there," says Librarian Susie Sharp. "We can really play with stories, costumes and some cool technology."
Green screens used to just be something you'd see in Hollywood special effects. A model or actor could pose in front of a green-colored screen and later, in editing, an impressive backdrop would provide a realistic background to the scene. Now thanks to a digital app called Blue Screen It, this trick becomes a treat for everyone!
Choose from one of 15 different backgrounds, strike pose at the green screen, and then watch as your photo transforms into a great Halloween treat delivered right to the email.
This year, the library has the privilege of using brand new equipment including a green screen, tripod and Ipad- all courtesy of the New Rockford Lions Club.
