American Legion Auxiliary serves veterans

A message to the people of New Rockford from your American Legion Auxiliary:

On Nov. 17, Veterans Day, we held a breakfast to honor our veterans. This has been an event in our town and community for at least 40 years.

Raffle winners this year were: Gary Coon $100, Guy Klein $50, Ben Makay $50, Clarence Sanderson $25 and Sherri Abrahamson $25.

Earlier this year we honored members who have served in continuous service in the ALA for many years, and we are proud to list them here.

70 years – Alma Helm

50 years – LuAnn Alderman, Barb Hillebrand, Eloise Lucht, Shirley Packard, Ardys Salisbury and Heidi Schneider.

40 years – Michelle Hillebrand, Shirley Lindstrom, Marcee Marsaa, Sarah Nelson, Mildred Reinke and Elaine Thompson.

30 years – Merita Aldayel, Bev Bjornson, Lynette Clelland, Patty Dennis, Sharon Hirchert, Eula Iverson, Rita Romanoski and Cynthia Toben.

25 years – Taylor Alderman, Carol Boyd and Inez Pendergrast

This fall we have received several new members, and that ensures our American Legion Auxiliary will continue for many more years.

New Rockford and the surrounding community is a great place to live, to work, and to serve. Our thanks to the whole community for the support given to our unit over the years.
