Winterfest: N.R. Park District winter fun outlook

The yo-yo weather has posed challenges for many of us. Park District Manager Dennis Nybo shares similar frustrations, but in regards to the opening of the ice rink located at the corner of 11th street N and 3rd ave N. He says that with any luck, the rink should be open by mid December.

Nybo also still accepting applications for warming house attendants at the rink. Applicants must be 15 years and up.

Other things Nybo is looking forward to this winter include an adult basketball tournament at the New Rockford- Sheyenne gymnasium on Sunday, Dec. 29. Teams are now forming for those interested. Contact Nybo at (701) 302-8105.
