Lester Roberts and his daughter, Lezlee Thorson, traveled to Grand Forks to spend Thanksgiving with Lezlee’s son Ryan Thorson, daughter-in-law Megan and grandson Aiden.

Lester visited Les and Janice Ferry on Friday.

Sunday visitors at Lester’s home were Roger Roberts, Lezlee and Chad Getscher.

Monday, Charlotte Simon visited her mother, Joan Bosch at the Care Center in Rugby. They did some Christmas decorating for Joan.

Monday and Tuesday, Randy and Charlotte attended boy’s elementary basketball games in Maddock. Grandsons Easton and Jaxon are members of the team.

Randy and Charlotte drove to Fargo to do some shopping on Wednesday. They spent Thanksgiving day and were overnight guests at Mark and Tessa Simon’s home in Oxbow, N.D. Other guests included Heidi, Carson, Max and Elin Thompson of Grand Forks, and Tessa’s parents, Crystal and Rick Erickson of Rhame, N.D. The birthdays of Tessa and Mason were also celebrated.

Randy and Charlotte returned home Friday morning.

Randy and Charlotte enjoyed the buffet at Harriman’s following church services.

Sunday afternoon, Randy and Charlotte’s home was included the “Over the River and Through the Woods” Tour of Homes sponsored by the Maddock Opera House Association. The tour was well attended.

Jakob Schmid and Alison Widmer of Bismarck were home for the weekend.

Pam Schmid spent last week in Bismarck for job training.

On Thanksgiving Day, Tom, Pam, JD and Jakob were joined at the Spirit Lake Casino by Alison and her parents, Dave and Carrie Widmer and her sister, Lizzie; Pam’s dad, Bud Hermanson and her brother Steve.

John and Donna Grann spent Sunday through Tuesday in Bismarck at the State Soil Conservation Convention.

Thanksgiving Day dinner guests at the John Grann home were Zac Johnson and Elise Burwell from Minnewaukan; Allen Howard family from Sheyenne, Scott Bennett from Pingree and neighbor, Gene Woolley.

Ben and Brittany Grann spent Thanksgiving in Bathgate, N.D. with Brittany’s dad and the Zaharia family.

Todd, Nadley and Hunter Buehler attended the elementary boy’s basketball games in Maddock Tuesday afternoon.

Elisa and Joe Wentz of Bismarck and Breana and Michael Pacheco and Mavis of Watford City spent the weekend at the Todd and Nadley Buehler farm with the family.

Nadley visited Sherry Boehmer and family Thursday afternoon.

Hunter visited Grace Ihry and her family Saturday.

Beau, Bria and Brittin Buehler visited Todd and Hunter Friday evening and joined the family Saturday and Sunday for the Buehler family Thanksgiving meal.

Nadley and Sherry Boehmer went on the Maddock Tour of Homes Sunday afternoon.

Dave, Linda and Melodie Madson spent Thanksgiving Day with Paul, Carrie and Jay Prince at Oberon. Kennedee and McKenzee Madson spent Thanksgiving Day and Friday with their other grandparents, Dennis and Julie Mertens and their family.

A Thought To Remember: No matter how much frosting you put on a bad cake, it is still a bad cake.
