Merle and Sandy Longnecker treated dad Ervin to supper out Dec. 3 to celebrate his 101st birthday. Later they did a little birthday shopping and were greeted by other family and friends at Hanson’s Bar for a celebratory night cap.
Dale and Diane Rosenberg and Mike Buck gave a ride to Santa and his festively dressed daughter “Holly.” The Rosenberg special horse drawn carriage delivered Santa and Holly to the Brown Memorial Saturday as part of Santa Day in New Rockford.
Last Sunday, granddaughters Joanna Larson of Wisconsin and Sandra Larson of Minnesota, enjoyed a visit at the Margie Anderson home before they returned to their work and studies.
Monday morning found Cory Jorgensen getting the coffee on at the Ervin Longnecker home and chatting about weekend events.
Margie Anderson recently received the sad news of the passing of her second cousin, 104-year-old Sarah Larson of Alexandria, Minn.
Monday, Ervin Longnecker, Cory Jorgensen, Dale and Diane Rosenberg, Bill and Diana Ziegler and Charlotte Koepplin were in attendance at the monthly meeting of Circle Trail Riders Inc. at Buck-Its Bar. The riders had a special cake and card for charter and life time member Ervin Longnecker as he celebrated his 101st birthday.
Saturday afternoon, Margie Anderson and Bev Bjornson were among those who attended the performance of “A Christmas Story” at the Old Church Theater. Later the gals enjoyed supper out.
Sunday Ervin Longnecker was a brunch guest and visitor at the Eric and Lisa Longnecker home. Saturday evening, Gene Kaul stopped in at Ervin’s with an early Christmas treat.
Marty Koepplin was a Wednesday afternoon stopper at the Charlotte Koepplin with a sample of freshly homemade smoked sausage.
Dale and Diane Rosenberg, Ervin Longnecker, Eve McAvoy, Nancy Ludwig, David Ludwig and Charlotte Koepplin were among Circle Trail Riders to enjoy the riders annual Christmas Party at the VFW Club in Sheyenne.
Sunday afternoon Margie Anderson was among those to enjoy the Christmas music at the Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd performed by an ensemble known as Family Unit, which consists of the parents and five talented children. The entire family entertained with multiple musical instruments and sang in a Christmas celebration.
