New Rockford and area folks extend sympathy to the families of Earl Stokke and Levi Duda.

Todd and Karen Koepplin became grandparents for the second time Dec. 11 at 7:30 p.m. as son Taylor and Amanda had a bouncing baby girl, Evelyn Jo at Jamestown Medical Center. Evelyn weighed in at 11 lbs and 9 oz. She was 20 inches long with lots of light brown hair. She made great-grandparents of Martin and Janelle Koepplin and Frederick and Dianne Allmaras.

Janet Laube enjoyed a phone call from grandson Scott Laube Sunday evening, wondering what grama’s plans were for the holidays.

Wednesday Elaine Thompson drove Shirley Packard to a medical appointment in Carrington.

Janine Anderson was a Visitor at the Lillian Gedrose home one afternoon.

Ken and Marvis Holte were among those who took surprise 40th birthday greetings to son in law Cody Bickett at the Carrington Library Saturday. Cody's wife Amanda, Ken and Marvis’s daughter, planned the occasion and pulled it off as Cody was truly surprised.

Weekend guests at the Todd and Karen Koepplin farm were daughter Allyssa and Ross Lewis and baby Kenna from Dickinson. They came to see family in the area and especially new niece Evelyn Jo, new baby girl of Taylor and Amanda Koepplin. Ross also drove to Cooperstown where he took early holiday greetings to his grandmother and other family.

Sunday morning Calvin Packard and mom Shirley, were among those who enjoyed the Sunday School Christmas Program at Grace Lutheran Church in Carrington and later took greetings of the day to Edgar Duda at Golden Acres Manor where they also visited with Edgar's roommate Frank Bachmeier. Both fellas seem to be doing good.
