Levi Preston Duda, 29, New Rockford passed away Friday near New Rockford, N.D. The funeral service was held Dec. 19, 2019, at First Lutheran Church, New Rockford. Burial was at the Prairie Home Cemetery, New Rockford. Rev. Doug Nemitz officiated with special music provided by Mary Ellen Rue and Jessica Hawkes. Honorary bearers were all of Levi's family and friends.
Levi Preston Duda was born April 4, 1990 in Carrington, N.D. the son of Duane and Annette (Broin) Duda. He graduated from New Rockford-Sheyenne High School in 2008. Levi then attended North Dakota State University for Electrical Engineering before transferring to Moorhead Technical College for training to become an electrician. After graduating he went to work at Denny's Electric in Dickinson, N.D. and later at Fetzer Electric LLC in Bismarck, N.D. He received his Master Electrician Certification in 2016. In 2018 he started Duda Electric LLC.
Levi is survived by his parents; sister, Kori Duda, New Rockford; grandparents, Iona and Ray Johnson, Fargo, N.D. and Larry and Bev Broin, New Rockford; aunts and uncles, Jeanette (Brian) Perleberg, New Rockford; Darrin (Missy) Broin, Fargo; Phyllis (Jeff) Parsons, Dickinson; Linda (Jeff) Wobbema, Minot; Patti (Rick) Eisenzimmer, Minot and Dawn (Chuck) Putney, West Fargo; and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Lyle Duda.
