New Rockford and area folks extend sympathy to the family of Thelma Myhre. 

Shirley Packard received a Christmas letter from nephew Pierre Womacks. Pierre was on a USS Supply ship just leaving from Rota, Spain heading for Bahrain. The USS Supply is a Military Sea Lift Command which is mainly civilians working for the U.S. Navy.

Janet Laube and Yip Yip and Charlotte Koepplin drove to Jamestown Sunday where they did some last minute shopping and had lunch before returning to New Rockford. Janet enjoyed a chance meeting with longtime friend Belinda Tompkins and family.

Wednesday Ken and Marvis Holte traveled to Jamestown where they delivered Christmas wishes and gifts to daughter Fayette and Donnie Nelson and enjoyed conversation over coffee.

Sunday visitor at the Lillian Gedrose home was son Orrin of Tioga. Janine Anderson was also a visitor one day.

Shirley Packard and Charlotte Koepplin both received holiday greetings from Pastor Bill and Tammy Liebmann. Fire had destroyed and damaged their home in Barnhardt, Mo., where they live. While rebuilding and repairing their home they lived at House 3, a Fire House not in use from January until July 2019. Pastor Bill is a vacancy pastor at Rosebud, Mo. Tammy had corneal eye problems that have been corrected. Pastor Bill was pastor at Emmanuel Lutheran Church here in New Rockford years ago.

Candy Jensen and Charlotte Koepplin were in Devils Lake Saturday doing last minute Christmas errands. Candy delivered Christmas greetings and gifts to her brother Rick and Cora Koepplin and their granddaughter Katie. The gals enjoyed a lunch before returning to New Rockford.

Many New Rockford and area folks attended funeral service for Levi Duda Thursday at New Rockford.

Sunday Ken and Marvis Holte enjoyed conversation over tea and coffee at the Holly Zieman home.

Saturday visitors at the Janet Laube home were Harlo Nelson, Scott and Robin Westall and Nelson Westfall all of Fargo. All were among the many who attended the Celebration of Life for Earl Stokke at Hanson's Bar.

Martin and Janelle Koepplin were surprised late Friday when daughter Trisha and Jay McMonagle, Wylie and Zaylie and Max came bringing early Christmas wishes and gifts from their home in Brainerd, Minn. The McMonagles headed back home Sunday morning. Thursday morning Taylor and Amanda Koepplin took baby Evelyn on her first outing to see grandpa and grandma, Tim and Bobbi Jo Indergaard on the farm where Taylor helped work cattle.

CORRECTION: Evelyn Jo Koepplin, new baby daughter of Taylor and Amanda, weighed 7 lbs. 9 oz., not 11 lbs. 9 oz.
