Benefit Saturday for Steve Bowman

The community is coming together to help one of our own in need.

New Rockford resident Steve Bowman was severely injured in a car crash near Binford on Sept. 14, 2019.

Bowman was taken to Sanford in Fargo, where he was treated for a number of injuries including a broken left ankle, a shattered right heel, broken pelvis, and 12 broken ribs, eight on the right and four on the left.

After three surgeries and 12 days in the hospital, Steve was brought to the Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd for rehabilitation on Sept. 26.

Steve has been recovering in his home since Nov. 8, but the medical bills and time away from work have put a strain on his family's finances.

A benefit for Steve has been set for Saturday, Feb. 1 at the New Rockford Eagles Club. The event will take place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. A pulled pork meal will be served and silent auction held to raise funds for Steve.
