Hunter Education Safety Course to be offered in New Rockford

Hunter education classes will be held March 5 - 16 from 6 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. Classes will be led by hunter education instructor Adnan Aldayel and will be held at the New Rockford Eagles Club. The class will meet on Thursday and Friday, March 5-6; Monday through Wednesday, March 9-11; Friday, March 13; and Monday, March 16.

Enrollees must attend all days of class in order to pass. Those who do not attend may lose the opportunity to enroll for a year.

Note, for enrollees under the age of 18, a guardian must be present the first evening of class to sign the student registration card.

Topics will include, but are not limited to hunter responsibility, firearm safety, ammunition basics, shooting skills, special hunting and safety concerns, and habitat and wildlife conservation. On Monday, March 16, enrollees will take a final written and practical exam.
