Rockets defeated at the buzzer by Woodchucks

It was a very physical and hard-fought game all the way as St. John defeated the Rockets by a final score of 48-46 in non-district boys basketball action played at St. John on Saturday, Feb. 8, before a very good crowd. The Woodchucks will be one of the top teams in District 8 and Region 4. St. John led 23-18 after one, 25-23 at halftime, it was tied 36-36 after three, and again the Woodchucks won on a short-range bucket by Adam Jollie as time expired.

St. John was led by Tyrece Gunville with 13 points. Mike Dunn added 11 and Bradley Defender 10. Bo Belquist paced the locals with 12 points. Nick Berglund added 10. St. John made 21 field goals, 3-4 free throws, and committed 10 fouls.
