Archers 'Rock-it' at Cooperstown, prepare to host next tournament at NR-S

On Friday, Feb. 14 and Saturday, Feb. 15, NR-S archers traveled to Cooperstown to compete in the National Archery in the Schools Program tournament.

Alex Weisenburger and Keaton Cudworth placed first in the middle school division in 3D and the bullseye tournaments, respectively.

Other top-placing archers were:

• Koven Walford, first place in high school boys bullseye and second place in 3D.

•Chaztin Wobbema, placed third for elementary boys 3D.

• Alex Weisenburger, third place in middle school boys bullseye.

• Keaton Cudworth, fourth place in middle school boys 3D.

• Connor Knatterud, fifth place for middle school boys 3D.

• Macey Wobbema, fifth place in high school girls bullseye.

Other Top 10 finishers for bullseye include:

• Hunter Genre seventh, middle school

• Chaztin Wobbema ninth, elementary boys

• Kolton O'Connor 10th, elementary boys

Top 10 finishers in the 3D tournament:

• Macey Wobbema sixth, high school girls

• Aaden Benson sixth, elementary boys

•Koy Zieman seventh, elementary boys

•Hunter Genre ninth, middle school boys

There were 18 archers who achieved their personal best scores on bullseye. They include:

Landen Anderson (152), Beau Baumbach (202), Aaden Benson (233), Kaylynn Chamberlain (211), Keaton Cudworth (284), Jaydee Duda (187), ShayLynn Duda (110), Kayne Gascogne-Mackner (169), Tatyn Heskin (201), Sawyer Huso (207), Charlie Jorgensen (229), Connor Knatterud (263), Paige Knatterud (223), Jacob Louters (261), Dustin Nystrom (182), Kolton O'Connor (244) and Alex Weisenburger (279).

The next archery tournament will be on Friday, Feb. 28 and Saturday, Feb. 29 at New Rockford-Sheyenne school.
