Rockets cruise past Comets

New Rockford-Sheyenne was in control from the outset as the locals defeated Rolette-Wolford by a final score of 88-47 in non-district boys basketball action played here on Thursday Feb. 13.

All of the Rockets saw playing time, and 11 scored. The locals led all the way and at all quarter stops, 20-4, 43-15, 66-33 and again came away with a convincing 88-47 win.

Rolette-Wolford made 17 field goals, 5-9 free throws, and committed 9 fouls. New Rockford-Sheyenne made 32 field goals, 12-21 free throws and committed 7 fouls. Tyrell Yoder paced the Comets with 16 points. Montgomery Grant added 14 points. The Rockets had very good balance. Evan Ulrich led the way with 15 points. Bo Belquist and Nick Presnell each added 14. Nathan Holzwarth and Hunter Thompson each had 13.
