Barbara Olson Fargo, N.D.
Barbara Nancy Olson, 94, Fargo, died on Jan. 17, 2020, at Bethany Nursing Home in Fargo, N.D. Her memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 14 at 1:30 p.m. at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo.
Barbara was born May 7, 1925, to Walter and Gerda Johnson in Quincy, Mass. She attended Katharine Gibbs Secretarial School, Brown University and NDSU. She married Howard M. Olson on August 17, 1946, in Quincy, Mass.
While living in Carrington, N.D., Barbara taught Sunday school, directed the Federated Church Choir and taught senior high social studies at New Rockford for 12 years.
Barbara was a member of Calvary United Methodist women, P.E.O.- Chapter AU, Fine Arts (Drama Section) and NDSU Women's Club of Fargo and numerous bridge groups.
Barbara is survived by her daughters Cindy (David) Blevins and Priscilla (Donald) Giffey, son Paul (Nancy) Olson, seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
