Thursday, Shirley Packard received a phone call from long time friend Gloria (Price) Marcon of Front Royal, Va. Gloria is fine and also says hello to former classmates Charles Richter, Gerda Backman and Bill Starke.
Thursday, Jay and Heidi Schnieder stopped in on mom, Eloise Lucht, on their way back to Devils Lake after attending the funeral service for Eric Hewitt at the Federated Church in Carrington.
Shirley Packard kept an important appointment at the Eye Clinic in Devils Lake Friday, riding to her appointment via the Eddy County Van.
Janet Laube received a phone call from niece Shelly Nelson of Okla., where there is much concern about Covid-19, as is here.
Alan, son of Eloise Lucht and the late Martin, called from his home in Germany. He is a Civil Engineer who is now handling his job from home due to the much talked about virus. Other son, Scott of Rochester, Minn., has a traveling job and finds it difficult to get more than a cup of coffee.
Dave and Cheryl Gabert have traveled to Houston, Texas, where they will spend some time.
A distant hi, goodbye and thank you came from Judy McKnight Sunday, as she so kindly brought a bag of reading materials to Shirley Packard, and gently tossed the bag in the entry. Goes to show New Rockford citizens are heading the world wide threat of the Covid-19 virus and are taking it seriously.
