CHI St. Alexius Health Carrington now offers virtual clinic appointments

CHI St. Alexius Health Carrington Medical Clinic patients can now schedule virtual visits with their local primary care or mental health provider as a convenient and safe care option to receive high-quality care when they need it, without leaving the comfort of their home.

Functioning much like a Skype or Facetime call, a virtual visit uses live, secure, and HIPAA compliant video technology to allow patients to directly and securely see and speak with their medical provider through the convenience of their mobile device, tablet or computer.

Patients can learn more about virtual clinic appointments and schedule an appointment by calling CHI St. Alexius Health Carrington Medical Clinic at (701) 652-2515.

During the virtual visit, medical providers are able to provide a treatment plan, just as they would for an in-person appointment, including the option to prescribe medication and request follow-up care.

“We are pleased to be able to provide our patients yet another convenient way to improve access to the care they need,” says Mariann Doeling, CHI St. Alexius Health Carrington President. “Not only will virtual visits allow our patients to consult with their medical providers without having to leave their home, they also add an additional layer of safety during the current COVID-19 pandemic.”

This is another example of how CHI St. Alexius Health Carrington has ramped up their virtual care services to help care for patients safely amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) is also leveraging additional digital tools such as AI-powered online self-assessments and triage to further reduce the transmission of the virus and care for the community.
