Allmaras passes the time

NR-S alum and current NDSU freshman Teddy Allmaras is back home on the farm and waiting out COVID-19 precautions. He is keeping busy with his online classes, which aren't as difficult in content as they are to keep focus on. "It's hard to focus for more than an hour. Especially when it's nice out," says Allmaras.

In an effort to put his energy to good use and effectively "pass" the time, the former Rocket quarterback saw his opportunity in the tree belt surrounding his parents' farmstead west of New Rockford. Allmaras went to work with the chainsaw while his father took to the skid steer. Then with the help of the log splitter at full force, they were able to fill a 52-foot trailer with firewood.

The bundles of campfire wood are ready for the upcoming summer season. Whether or not the business restrictions are lifted, campfires in backyards will likely still go on as residents seek "normal" activities to beat the quarantine blues.

Bundles of firewood are for sale at $5 each for 1 cubic foot, or pick up loads are available for $130. Pick-up or local delivery available. Call Teddy Allmaras at (701) 649-6099.
