Last Thursday, Chuck and Karen Erickson, Mandan, Wayne and Elaine Retzlaf, Jan Loe, Roger and Betty Westby tended to family graves at Augustana Cemetery, Warwick and New Rockford cemeteries. They enjoyed lunch at the Sheyenne Senior Center. Later, all enjoyed supper and more visiting at the home of Roger and Betty Westby.
Friday, members of the family and friends of Gladys Erickson gathered at the Sheyenne Senior Center for lunch, followed by the interment of Gladys at Augustana Cemetery. Gladys and her husband Stan raised their children in Sheyenne and also operated the grocery store there for many years.
Sunday, Jan Loe and daughter Steph placed Eddy County VFW Auxiliary flags on member gravesites at area cemeteries.
Patti Clifton visited the gravesites of her family members at Riverside Cemetery, Grandfield Cemetery, Augustana Cemetery, the New Rockford Cemetery and Carrington Cemetery on Sunday.
Word has been received that former Sheyenne resident Marilyn Anderson passed away last week. A private family service was held in Velva on Friday with burial at the Velva Cemetery. Condolences can be sent to the family in care of Carolyn Olson, P.O. Box 272, Velva, ND 58790-0272.
