Two lines formed at the Eddy County Fairgrounds near the south entrance during the testing event. Each car could have up to four adults ready for testing, one at each window.
Lake Region District Health Unit hosted Eddy County's first community-wide COVID-19 testing event on Wednesday, June 10 at the Eddy County Fairgrounds south of New Rockford. Residents 18 and older were invited to the drive-up event, and oral swab tests were administered at no cost. The effort was led by Eddy County Public Health Nurse Danette Schmid and the Eddy County Community Operations Team. Volunteers from several local agencies assisted.
Saturday 7 A.M. update- No new positive cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Eddy County since the testing event.
