Superintendent hired, new board members sworn in at Oberon

The Oberon Public School District is pleased to announce the swearing-in of new school board members and the hiring of the new principal/superintendent.

On Wednesday, June 3, the North Dakota State Board appointed school board members. Sharon Mudgett and Matthew Friesen, were sworn into oath at a special meeting at the Oberon School. Both school members accepted their oath of office and immediately began serving in their position on the Oberon Public School Board.

The Oberon School District and Board President Doris Griffin is excited to announce the hiring of Jordan Brown as the new principal/superintendent.

Brown was named to this position at a special school board meeting held on Thursday, June 4. Previously, he had been a teacher at New Rockford and Devils Lake and earned his Master’s Degree in educational leadership from Northern State University in Aberdeen, S.D.

Brown officially began serving in his new position following the meeting last Thursday. A full five-member school board will be in place shortly following the June 9 school board election.
