The Black Sox looked to take on a promising Jamestown team at Legion Park on Monday, June 15.
Throughout this game the 'Sox showed that they're going to be a hard team to beat with a spectacular performance on both sides of the field. The Sox got started off early with three easy strikes in the first inning and a run to get them the lead.
After no runs scored in the second, the Sox brought in four runs in the third inning from Bo Belquist, Colter Soderholm, Hunter Thompson and Nathan Holzwarth. In the fourth inning Jamestown still were unable to find their footing, giving up two more runs by Bo Belquist and Hunter Thompson.
In the fifth, the locals added their eight and final run by Kaden Jensen. The sixth and seven innings were a stalemate as Jamestown was able to keep New Rockford from scoring any more runs. The Sox held Jamestown to keep them scoreless the entire game. Bo Belquist and Hunter Thompson were the leading scorers for New Rockford with two runs each. The Black Socks improved their record to 3-0. At this point it seems like nothing can stop this hot streak.
