Another week has flown by and the world is still dealing with social distancing and wearing masks. Since masks seem to be optional in some instances and mandatory in others, it seems to be an individual choice. I choose wearing one to protect myself and others in public places.
On Monday, Holly Zieman and Lola Heer visited James Nelson social distancing outside.
Joe Schmid of Fargo spent the weekend with his parents, Howard and Helen. Howard, Joe, Doug and Parker Schmid enjoyed golfing in New Rockford Saturday. Elisa and Joe Wentz and Maynard of Bismarck, Beau, Bria and Brittin Buehler and Breana and Michael Pacheco of Watford City visited Todd, Nadley and Hunter Buehler over the weekend. The family celebrated Father’s Day and Todd and Nadley’s 34th anniversary. Congratulations!
Todd, Hunter, Beau, Bria and Brittin visited the Karlsbraaten puppies Saturday evening. Nadley visited her father, Ken Dempsey and brother, Brian over the phone on Father’s Day. It was also Brian’s 50th birthday.
Calvary Lutheran Church will open for services on Sunday, June 28 at 9 a.m. Social distancing is encouraged. The congregation will discuss the approach to future services at that time. Coffee and lunch will not be served at this time.
John and Donna Grann traveled to a Sheyenne-New Rockford baseball game in Rolla Friday evening. John, Donna and Johnny attended the open houses of some of New Rockford- Sheyenne graduates Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon. Holden Grann from Perth was an overnight guest of the John Grann family Sunday night.
Shawn and Cathy Caulfield of Jamestown and Carrie Prince of Oberon were overnight guests of Melodie, Kennedee and McKenzee Madson Friday. Melodie, Carrie, Cathy and Linda worked at setting up for the Saturday garage sale.
It was disappointing to wake up to lightning and thunder and rain Saturday morning. Thankfully, the weather moved on and a nice day followed.
Carrie returned home Saturday evening and the Caulfield’s were overnight guests again .
Cathy, Melodie and Linda enjoyed Sunday morning coffee on Melodie’s deck.
Sunday afternoon, everyone gathered at Paul and Carrie’s home to celebrate Father’s Day and enjoy the beautiful day.
Dave enjoyed receiving a Father’s Day greeting by phone from Stacy in Wyoming Sunday evening.
