Independent: Sox earn road win over Kidder County

SNR Black Sox Independent beat Kidder County 5-2 on Wednesday.

In the first inning, Kidder County got their offense started. Blake Pfaff was hit by a pitch, driving in a run.

SNR knotted the game up at one in the top of the second inning. Nathan Holzwarth hit a solo homer.

The Black Sox pulled away for good with two runs in the fourth inning.

Nick Berglund was the winning pitcher for SNR. He surrendered two runs on five hits over four and two-thirds innings, striking out three. Alex Harrison threw two and a third innings in relief out of the bullpen. Harrison recorded the last seven outs to earn the save for SNR.

Pfaff took the loss for Kidder County. He lasted seven innings, allowing five hits and five runs while striking out 12.

The Black Sox hit two home runs on the day. Holzwarth had a homer in the second inning. Nick Presnell went for the long ball in the sixth inning.

Colter Solderholm, Presnell, Harrison, Holzwarth, and Koby Duda each managed one hit.
