Obituary: Patricia Allmaras-Waliser

Patricia Anne Allmaras-Waliser, 70, of Zap, N.D., lost her prolonged battle with lung cancer, succumbing to the disease on Sunday, October 4, 2020, at Sakakawea Medical Center in Hazen, N.D.

Patricia was born on St. Patrick's Day, in New Rockford, N.D., the last child born to Lloyd and Maxine Allmaras. Patricia attended St. James Academy in New Rockford, graduating in 1969. She relocated to Zap, N.D., in 1976, and was a barber in Beulah, N.D., for many years during which time she was a master at putting smiles on people's faces and made many new friends along the way.

Patricia was a person who loved to argue, she was an Olympic caliber smoker, and had a fondness for slot and pull-tab machines. However, she was also kind, compassionate and caring. She possessed a strong work ethic, a devotion to cleanliness, and an innate love for animals.

Patricia is survived by her husband Emil "Jeep" Waliser, her eldest son, Shane (Angela) Wetzel, her youngest son, Cole (Kari) Wetzel, and two grandsons, Sage and Chance Wetzel.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, eldest sisters Arlene Curley and Marilyn Naslund, and eldest brother Kenny Allmaras.

This beloved cantankerous spitfire will forever be missed by those who loved her most. May she rest in peace, comforted by the companionship of the loved ones who passed before her.

Arrangements are conducted by Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah and Hazen.
