Bambi Dawna Rahn, 64, passed away Sunday, Oct. 4, 2020, at her home near McHenry, N.D.
Celebration of life was held Saturday, Oct. 10, 2020, at the Nichole and Joe Klundt home, 3054 Ranch Road, Jamestown, N.D. Burial was held at Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, N.D.
Bambi was born May 17, 1956, at Minot, N.D., the daughter of Rueben and Marjorie (Hansen) Dockter. She grew up in Minot and attended school there. She later married Tim Rahn and they lived in Minot before moving to Langdon. They later moved to Grand Forks before settling in Jamestown. In 1995 she met the love of her life, Todd Aasand and moved to a farm near McHenry in 2002. She spent many hours driving the combine and became a full-time farmer.
Bambi enjoyed reading and fishing. She drove school bus for the Midkota School District and loved spoiling the children on her route. Bambi was always there when people needed her. Her sisters always appreciated her for always being there when they needed help. She was like a second mom for a lot of people. Her greatest joy was spending time and spoiling her grandchildren.
What was supposed to be a routine surgery, turned into a several-month-long hospital stay with countless surgeries. We were all rooting for her and thought we had the worst behind us. God had other plans to finally reunite her with her son Tim.
Bambi is survived by her longtime companion, Todd Aasand, McHenry; children, Jon Rahn, Perrysburg, Ohio; Jason (Carrie) Rahn, Maple Plain, Minn.; Chantel (John) Dexter, Corcoran, Minn.; and Nichole (Joe) Klundt, Jamestown, N.D.; sisters, Sam (Cordell) Dahl, Surrey, N.D.; Melissa (Dan) Eggleston, Towner, N.D.; Elizabeth (Shawn) Benham, Minot, N.D.; eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son Tim, and brother Scott.
