Skating rink opens Monday

Sharpen up those blades, folks! Winter is here, and with it comes fun on the ice.

New Rockford Park District Manager Dennis Nybo said Tuesday that the New Rockford outdoor skating rink and warming house will officially open on Monday, Dec. 21.

The warming house will be open Monday to Friday from 4 - 8 p.m. On Saturdays, Sundays and holidays it will be open 2 - 8 p.m.

The Christmas holiday is the exception though. The warming house will be open from 2 - 4 p.m. on Christmas Eve and closed on Christmas day.

Note that the warming house will be closed if the temperature and/or wind child is -10 degrees or lower at the time of opening.
