New Rockford-Sheyenne was wholly unprepared for the surprise the Shiloh Christian Skyhawks had in store for them.
The Region 5 private school powerhouse had their way with the visitors, rolling to a big 79-33 win in east Bismarck Monday night, January 4.
Taking a 12-4 lead after one, the ‘Hawks expanded that to 37-12 at the half, and steadily built their margin thereafter. Shiloh hit eight threes in the game, with three each from Luke Wanzek, who led all scorers with 17 points, and Khael Decoteau (11 points). Also finishing with 11 points for SCS were Kohl Blotske and Carter Englund, and MaBahi Baker also added double digits in the scoring column with 10.
For the Rockets, Evan Ulrich led with nine points, and Nick Berglund added eight.
