The New Rockford-Sheyenne School Board election will be held Tuesday, June 8, 2021, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., with polling at the New Rockford-Sheyenne School gymnasium lobby in New Rockford.

Three terms expire this year— that of Mary Kay Price, David Holzwarth and Patti Larson. The position held by Price will be elected to a three-year term from the former New Rockford District, the position held by Larson will be elected to a three year term from the former Sheyenne District, and the position held by Holzwarth will be elected for a three-year term from At Large.

Candidacy for each school board position is determined by residency within defined geographic areas of the district, but all eligible voters of the school district may vote for each position.

Candidates for these positions must file a Statement of Intent to Run for School Board and a Statement of Interests by Monday, April 5, 2021, at 4 p.m. Candidacy forms are available from the business manager at the New Rockford-Sheyenne Public School in New Rockford. Holdover members of the board are Alyson Myhre, Mike Jacobson, Mike Schaefer and Travis Benson.

Also on the ballot will be the question of whether or not to publish the school board proceedings in a newspaper for the next two years.
